As we grow older and leave behind the psychological comfort zone of our earlier years, we begin to view the world around us through a darker lens. Our existence is often based on contradiction, unfairness, and the cold, harsh reality of adult existence. But there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel - understanding and accepting what we can’t change and working on what we can.
From my own experience, writing brings me more comfort than the greatest of all therapists. It helps me dig deep into my own brain and compartmentalize ideas and any preconceived notions I may have about the world around me - myself included. When I write, I give myself complete freedom to express any ideas that I would otherwise keep to myself.
That being said, welcome to my world of existentialism, analysis, and dark humor.
Yours sincerely,
The woman who ate the apple.
